Learning with wooden blocks
The wooden blocks that are multicolored help children to match the colors. Those that have different shapes help to let them match the shapes. Besides just learning the alphabet, or counting or ways to group, wooden blocks also help to push the imagination. Fantastic buildings and towers can be built by using architectural blocks. Using wooden blocks helps children to get the basics of architecture, geometry as well as physics.
Children can spend a long time in playing with wooden blocks. Babies tend to chew on them and even throw them. But this is fun too. Babies tend to learn about the world through their mouths. Thus they put everything into their mouths. They are able to feel different textures s well as sizes this way. Throwing things helps to teach them object permanence besides cause and effect.
As children get older, they will continue to play with wooden blocks but in a more sophisticated way. They would start building things as well as exploring imaginative play. For some kids these early lessons will come back when they are adults and they start to build and design buildings.
The different kinds of wooden blocks include blocks that can interlock and some that look just like logs. The combination of these different kinds of wooden blocks will let children build different things. They will be able to experience different styles of learning.
As the world gets faster paced, some parents have started to buy electronic toys for their young children. This is because they think that such toys will help them to learn more as well as encourage their imagination. But it is the wooden blocks that really teach kids and let them develop their imagination. These help the kids to make more connections in their brains as well as to learn faster. They will not even know that they are learning as they will be having so much fun while they are playing with these blocks.
